Great South Run
|Date||17 October 2021|
We want to assure you that we're closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 in the UK. As things stand this event will be going ahead.
If your event is cancelled or postponed after sign up, you'll be offered a transfer onto a new date or a full refund on your registration fee.
We will, of course, continue to offer all our usual training and fundraising support throughout this time. You’ll have until 8 weeks after your event date to reach your minimum fundraising target.
Please drop us an email if you have any further questions.
Join us in Europe's leading 10 mile race in Southsea, Portsmouth. The course is fast and flat, with fantastic crowds and music to keep you going. You'll enjoy brilliant views of the Isle of Wight, as you finish along the coast!
By joining Team Alzheimer's Society, you'll be part of the movement to help end dementia. One person develops dementia every three minutes and too many face it alone. Your support will help us find a cure and achieve our vision of a world without dementia.
When you run for us, you'll receive:
- a support pack with fundraising help and materials
- a free running top to wear on race day
- detailed training guides for different abilities and personalised support from our experts
- access to a Facebook group where you can chat to other runners
- support from our dedicated events team to help you smash your fundraising target
We know that fundraising can be just as challenging as the event, but we’ll be here to support you every step of the way. When you sign up to run for us, you will receive a support pack with tips and advice to help you with your fundraising, allowing you to make a difference to people living with dementia.
To kick-start your fundraising in the meantime, why not set up a JustGiving page?
You can also print off a sponsorship form to share with friends and family.
If you have cheques that you need to send in to us, please use our paying in form and post to:
Want to get friends and family involved? You could organise a sweepstake, where each player makes a donation to guess your finishing time and whoever picks the closest time wins a small prize of your choice.
