Key Information

The meeting point

Leeds Memory Walk will start and finish in the event site at Temple Newsam House. Please note this area is on grass. Find us using the postcode LS15 0AE, alternatively enter locate.remit.common into the What3Words App.

We recommend that anyone participating in Memory Walk arrives at the event site from 10am. This allows time to take part in the pre-walk activities such as the Zumba warm-up and also allows time for possible delays caused by traffic and public transport.

The route

To make sure everyone's included, there are two routes to choose from on the day of Memory Walk.

A shorter 2.5km route, which is wheelchair accessible and suitable for all ages and abilities.

The longer 6km route takes in the sights of the beautiful Temple Newsam Estate, and is more challenging with a combination of woodland and paved paths.

Please note the route and distance is subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.

Travel information

Please consider the most sustainable method of transport, such as public transport or car sharing, where possible.

Head towards Temple Newsam Estate, using the postcode LS15 0AE, following signs for Memory Walk on the approach to the venue.

Event parking is available at Temple Newsam Estate. Please  arrive in good time to avoid queues and follow instructions from stewards.

Please note that parking is on grass.

If you are a blue badge holder, please make yourselves known to parking stewards upon arrival.

The closest train station is Cross Gates.

From Leeds city centre, take the 19 bus towards Garforth and get off at New Temple Gate. It's then a 20 minute walk to the event site at Temple Newsam House.
