Event Parking is available at Mote Park, please use postcode ME15 7ST and follow signs for Memory Walk on the approach to the venue. Please arrive in good time to avoid queues, and note that parking is on grass.
City centre parking is also available and Maidstone rail station is a 2km walk away. Please consider the most sustainable method of transport, or car share where possible.
Memory Walk will start and finish in the event site at Mote Park, which is located on Mote Avenue. Please note, this area is on grass.
There are two Memory Walk routes – you choose which to walk on the day of the event. Please note all routes and distances are subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.
The shorter 2.5km walk is a gentle stroll around the park and lake, which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages. This route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs with assistance.
The longer 5km walk is a little more challenging, and will take you around the park and lake, as well as through woodland . This route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs due to the nature of the pathways.

The meeting point and car parks are on grass. The short route is on paved paths and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs with assistance.
There is dedicated event parking available, please make stewards aware on arrival if you need an accessible parking space.
Safety of all Memory Walk participants, volunteers and staff is our top priority. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation carefully and working hard to deliver amazing events, whilst following all necessary Government guidance and precautions.
All our Memory Walk events hold the We’re Good To Go Industry Standard and follow government and industry Covid-19 guidelines, have a risk assessment in place and processes to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
Memory Walk may look a little different this year, but it will still retain the amazing atmosphere that makes the event so special!
What to expect
- Multiple waves of participants, meaning smaller numbers of walkers in the event site, and on the route at the same time.
- Hand sanitiser available for all throughout the event.
- Face coverings to be used within the event site, before the walk begins.
- Social distancing between households of participants.
