Join us at Bute Park, Cardiff in autumn 2026, and share an incredible day with others who understand how it feels to be affected by dementia.

Online registrations are now closed, but it's not too late to walk with us.

Please head to the Information Tent with the red flag at the meeting point below between 10-10:30am, to register on the day of Memory Walk.

Share advice, laughter, and support at Cardiff Memory Walk. And when you cross the finish line, celebrate with your medal, knowing you have walked for a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

The meeting point

Cardiff Memory Walk will start and finish in the event site at Coopers Field, which is in the south side of in Bute Park. Please note, this area is on grass. Find us using the postcode CF10 3ER, alternatively enter fantastic.book.crest into the What3Words App.

We recommend that anyone participating in Memory Walk arrives at the event site from 10am. This allows time to take part in the pre-walk activities such as the Zumba warm-up and also allows time for possible delays caused by traffic and public transport.

The route

To make sure everyone's included, there are two routes to choose from on the day of Memory Walk.

A shorter 2km route, which is wheelchair accessible and suitable for all ages and abilities.

The longer 6km route takes in the sights around the park and along the River Taff, and is more challenging.

Please note the route and distance is subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.

Please consider the most sustainable method of transport, such as public transport or car sharing, where possible.

By car

There is no dedicated car parking at Cardiff Memory Walk.

Pay and display car parking facilities are available nearby in Castle Mews (CF10 3ER) and North Road (CF10 3EA), College Road, King Edward VII Avenue & Museum Avenue. For further information on parking in Cardiff please visit the Cardiff Council website.

By train

The event site in Coopers Field, Bute Park is approximately a 20-minute walk from Cardiff Central or an 11-minute walk from Cathays station.

By bus

The number 96, 13, 25 and 62 buses all pass through Cardiff city centre and over to Bute Park. For further information please visit Cardiffbus website.

Please check the bus times for weekend days ahead of travelling, as times may differ to those on a weekday.

The meeting point is on grass. The short route is on paved paths and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs with assistance. There is no event parking available at this event.
