Challenge yourself to raise £160, or as much as you can, and make a real difference to people affected by dementia.
The Memory Walk team is here to support you every step of the way, so sign up today and together we’ll walk for a world without dementia.
There is no dedicated event parking, please use local parking and public transport. Please note Hopkins Field in the North Park is a 20 minute walk from Stratford stations and Westfield. Please follow directions from our volunteers or signs for North Park.
Please consider the most sustainable method of transport, or car share where possible.
Memory Walk will start and finish in the event site at Hopkins Field, which is located a 20 minute walk North-West of Stratford Stations and Westfield. The meeting point is directly North of the Olympic Stadium, follow signs for ‘North Park’.
Please note, this area is on grass.
There are two Memory Walk routes – you choose which to walk on the day of the event. Please note all routes and distances are subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.
The shorter 2km walk is a gentle stroll around the park, passing the Velodrome and Timber Lodge. The longer 5km walk is a little more challenging, and will take you around the park, seeing all the most well-known sites.
Both routes are suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages, and for pushchairs and wheelchairs with assistance.

The meeting point is on grass. Both routes are on pavement and suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs with assistance. There is no dedicated accessible parking.
Safety of all Memory Walk participants, volunteers and staff is our top priority. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation carefully and working hard to deliver amazing events, whilst following all legal guidance and precautions.
All our Memory Walk events hold the 'We’re Good To Go' industry standard, which means you can be reassured we have everything in place to keep you safe. Each event has been thoroughly risk-assessed and we've implemented a number of processes and measures from the guidance provided by the Government.
Memory Walk may look a little different this year, but it will still retain the amazing atmosphere that makes the event so special! Check out the below and our event safety guide for more information.
What to expect
- Multiple waves of walkers, meaning smaller numbers of participants in the event site and on the route, at any one time.
- Separate start and finish points for our routes.
- Reduced touchpoints to minimise contact between walkers and volunteers.
- Hand sanitiser at regular intervals within the event site.
- A site layout that still allows for social distancing between households of participants and volunteers.

- Face coverings will be encouraged in any areas where 1m+ social distancings cannot be maintained.
