Comforting sensory doll to ease anxiety and promote calm. 

HUG™ is a soft, weighted therapeutic comforter with a beating heart and gentle music, designed to soothe people with advanced dementia. It offers sensory stimulation, emotional reassurance, and companionship when words may fail.

Fidget Widget is a tactile, interactive tool designed to reduce anxiety and promote calm for people with dementia. 

Developed with occupational therapists, Fidget Widget offers soothing, repetitive hand movements that support motor skills and relieve restlessness. Ideal for sensory engagement and stress reduction in mid to late-stage dementia.

Milbotix has created SmartSocks® - a revolutionary sock! This wearable device which promises to reduce the burden of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia, both on a human and financial front. 

Developed with funding and support from Alzheimer’s Society, the socks collect continuous data on the wearer's wellbeing, mobility, and anxiety levels.

Hydrating treats made for dementia care. 

Jelly Drops are water-filled, fruit-flavoured sweets created to tackle dehydration in people with dementia. Easy to chew and appealing to eat, they offer a fun, hands-on way to increase fluid intake independently.

Dementia-friendly utensil to support mealtime independence. 

Tasty Spoon is an ergonomically designed spoon that encourages safe, independent eating. Its comfortable grip and intuitive shape help reduce frustration, improve nutrition, and maintain dignity during meals.

Passive hydration monitoring to support daily health and wellbeing.

Urinfo is a discreet, toilet-integrated device that automatically measures hydration-related signals such as colour and temperature during everyday bathroom use. It builds a personalised picture of hydration over time, helping individuals maintain better physical, cognitive, and overall wellbeing without needing to track anything manually.

Dignified bed bathing solution to provide dignity and care

The Pobroll® Bed Bathing Wrap is a dignified, practical solution for providing gentle, hygienic care during end-of-life support. Designed for comfort and ease of use, it allows carers to bathe individuals in bed while preserving warmth, modesty, and skin integrity—ideal for those who are immobile or in palliative care.

The Feel Good Folder is a personalised wellbeing toolkit designed to uplift mood and promote daily engagement for people living with dementia. 

Packed with familiar routines, positive affirmations, memory prompts, and calming activities, it helps individuals maintain identity, build self-esteem, and navigate the day with more ease and purpose.

Lift the Lid provides all the tools needed for care homes to run their own dementia workshops to. With these resources, they'll be able to challenge perceptions around sex and intimate relationships for people affected by dementia. 

Lift the Lid is available to purchase now from the Alzheimer's Society shop.

The toolkit provides a framework for respectful management of in-the-moment situations and is designed to be delivered as a 2-3 hour long workshop, or it can be easily divided into 3 individual modules lasting 3-45 minutes each.

Alzheimer’s Society’s Innovation team gained insight from a wide range of experts and stakeholders, including people affected by dementia and care home staff, to understand the current challenges in this area. The solution is one which will enable care home staff to be better equipped, better supported and more supporting, when it comes to the sex, intimacy and relationship needs of residents living with dementia.

Remote care and rapid testing to support independence for people with neurological conditions.

NeuroResponse is a digital healthcare service, providing 24/7 access to specialist advice, home urine testing kits, and fast-tracked laboratory analysis, enabling earlier detection and treatment of infections while reducing the need for GP visits or hospital attendance.

Smart, secure spending card designed for dementia. 

Sibstar is a specially designed debit card and app system that enables people with dementia to manage everyday money safely. Carers can set spending limits and monitor transactions in real time, helping reduce the risk of financial exploitation or confusion.

Hearing training to support brain and communication health. 

eargym is an auditory brain-training app that helps people with dementia improve listening and focus. By enhancing auditory processing, it boosts confidence in conversation and reduces mental fatigue and isolation.

Recreo VR enhances the mental and social well-being of individuals in care through personalised VR content and easy to use headsets. Their VR content helps people living with dementia reconnect with the outside world.

Digital neurology monitoring to support brain health and clinical decision making.

Kneu Health is a smartphone based platform that passively monitors symptoms of neurological conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s disease. By collecting continuous real-world data, it helps clinicians detect changes earlier, personalise treatment, and improve quality of life, while giving people greater confidence in managing their condition.

Reminiscence games to stimulate memory and conversation. 

Memory Lane Games is an easy-to-use app featuring interactive quizzes and familiar topics designed specifically for people with dementia. It promotes memory recall, sparks conversations, and encourages social interaction, supporting cognitive health in an enjoyable way.
