What is Trek26?

Trek26 is a series of treks in stunning locations across England and Wales. Trekkers have the option to trek either26 or 13 miles. Thousands of people take on the challenge each year to raise money in support of people with dementia.

Why we need you!

Trekking a marathon or half-marathon is no mean feat so we love to give our trekkers as much support as possible on the day. This could be a cup of tea at one of our rest stops, a friendly word of encouragement on the route, or a triumphant cheer across the finish line. We can guarantee that it means the world to our trekkers.

This role will be perfect for you if you are:

• Friendly, welcoming and enjoy being part of a large event.
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of different tasks as needed.
• A good communicator and are comfortable talking to people from all walks of life.

Trek26 North York Moors

Both the 26 and 13 mile routes will start up at Abbey Farm Showfield with stunning views of the famous gothic Whitby Abbey. Both routes offer stunning views of the coast and the moors, taking you through cobbled streets, fields, woodland, villages and lots of coastline.

The route follows part of the old railway route from Whitby, walking along the well maintained paths of The Cinder Track to the picturesque village, Robin Hood's Bay.

The 13 mile route will return along the Cleveland Way Coastal Path.

The 26 mile route will continue further down the coast before heading back via the Cleveland Way path.

We will have three rest stop on the route, with lunch being served at the second rest stop.
