- Fundraising target:

The challenge
Get your walking shoes on and explore some of the capital’s less known historic areas with a tour of the ‘gateway to London’ along the Thames’s eastern section while fundraising for Alzheimer's Society.
Starting alongside the grandeur of Woolwich Barracks there’s a marathon looped route, which heads into the heart of the capital alongside a 25km option taking in Greenwich and a 10km option if you’re after something a bit shorter!
Routes steeped in history with iconic sights, a lively warm up, full support all the way, rest stops with snacks and drinks and capped with a BBQ meal, bar and music at the finish, making for a wonderful active end of summer celebration!
The route
- 50km loop through Woolwich Tunnel, and north along the 'Capital Ring' and 'Greenway' to the Olympic Park
- 25km loop from Woolwich, to Canary Wharf and Cutty Sark, returning through Greenwich
- 10km loop from Woolwich Barracks along to the Thames Barrier, and through Maryon Wilson Animal Park
