Dementia awareness training
One day public access course: £149 per person
Dementia awareness training is a skills-based course suitable for anyone who would like to improve their knowledge and understanding of dementia. You will learn:
- The signs and symptoms of dementia
- How dementia affects behaviour, the senses and communication
- How to build positive relationships with people affected by dementia using increased knowledge, empathy and practical skills.

Certification: Alzheimer's Society certificate in dementia awareness
Further your learning on this course by completing our Certificate in dementia awareness exam for just £29.
This multiple choice exam tests your knowledge of dementia, your attitudes towards people living with the condition and your understanding of person-centred care.
Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate and badge in recognition of your achievement.

Dementia training for homecare providers: train the trainer
One day public access course created in collaboration with UKHCA from £169 per person
This train the trainer course has been created specifically for the homecare sector by Alzheimer’s Society and UKHCA. The training is designed to support homecare providers to ensure best practice when training their staff to deliver high quality care to service users who have been diagnosed with or who are at risk of developing dementia.
