Elizabeth Neely has been given the British Empire Medal for services to people with dementia and their Families through the Alzheimer's Society in Northern Ireland.

Bernadine McCrory, Alzheimer’s Society Operations Director for Northern Ireland, said:

'As the leading charity for dementia in the UK we appreciate the contribution our volunteers make as it would be impossible to support people with dementia and run our services without them. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Elizabeth on being chosen to receive the British Empire Medal (BEM). It’s a huge achievement and testament to her commitment to helping people with dementia and their families.'
