Alzheimer's Society responds to the appointment of Matt Hancock MP as the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.

Matt Hancock MP was appointed the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care on 9 July 2018.

Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive Officer at Alzheimer’s Society, says:

'Having already shown his commitment by becoming a Dementia Friend, Alzheimer’s Society looks to the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to deliver real change for people with dementia who, for too long, have been treated as second class citizens by our health and social care system.'
