Our vision for volunteering

Our Volunteering Strategic Approach sets out our vision for volunteering and what we want to achieve by 2030.

By 2030, our ambition is that Alzheimer's Society has a vibrant and proactive volunteering culture, with people from all spheres of life supporting us to realise the power of volunteering to deliver our Help and Hope Strategy

1. Our offer

We will simplify and expand our volunteering offer, creating meaningful opportunities for all volunteers to have greater reach and impact for people affected by dementia

2. Inclusion and volunteer voice

We will connect with underserved communities and involve volunteers, including those with lived experience, to enable an inclusive, equitable volunteering journey.

3. Quality volunteer experience

We will deliver a positive and rewarding volunteer experience that creates a community of people who are passionate about supporting our cause.

4. Volunteer support and infrastructure

We will value and prioritise volunteer support and management, and focus on enhancing our technology, processes, service design and stewardship to create the conditions for our volunteers and volunteer managers to thrive.
