The challenge

A basecamp in idyllic Bakewell will welcome 3,000 adventurers who will test themselves in the fabulous Peak District National Park. You can take it on at your pace as a walk, jog, or run while fundraising for Alzheimer's Society! 

There’s a range of camping options and extensive hospitality and welfare services with a full 100km challenge which takes a tough and varied figure of eight route through Derbyshire’s finest scenery. 

Sign up as an individual or as a team - you’ll get full support all the way, plenty of food and drink, a special medal, t-shirt and celebration finish. With 50km, 25km and 10-mile options also available – there’s a challenge here for everyone! Push yourself further in 2027, take on an Ultra Challenge – the UK’s number one series of treks and trail challenges.

  • Full Challenge (100km) - Bakewell to Bakewell Loop
  • 1st Half (50km) - Bakewell Northern Loop
  • 2nd Half (50km) - Bakewell Southern Loop
  • 1st Quarter (25km) - Bakewell to Tideswell
  • 10 mile - Bakewell loop

Fundraising

You'll pay a small registration fee and then get fundraising for Alzheimer's Society! You only need to raise half of the fundraising target three weeks ahead of the Peak District Ultra Challenge to confirm your place, you can then top up the rest during, and after, the challenge!

  • Full Challenge (100km): £50 registration fee + £575 in fundraising
  • Half Challenge (50km): £40 registration fee + £375 in fundraising
  • Quarter Challenge (25km): £30 registration fee + £275 in fundraising
  • 10 Mile Challenge: £20 registration fee + £100 in fundraising
