Insurance Day for Dementia (IDFD) is the flagship fundraising event for the multi-award winning Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) campaign.

We are excited to share that Insurance Day for Dementia will be back on 26 November 2026, so save the date and check below for updates and ways to get involved.

Did you know that almost half of the more than 300,000 people working in the UK insurance sector will be affected by dementia in their lifetime, either directly or through a loved one?

IUAD's mission is not only to fund dementia-based services and life-changing research, but to spark real change within the insurance industry, offer vital support to colleagues who are affected, and to truly move the dial on dementia. This is something you can play a pivotal role in, by taking part in IDFD.

Celebrating the success of Insurance Day for Dementia 2025

Insurance Day for Dementia in 2025 was our biggest and best yet:

  • The industry raised £421,039 - 80% more than 2024
  • 152 businesses and 3093 colleagues got involved, more than doubling 2024's involvement
  • 428 colleagues became Dementia Friends
  • Collected donations at 12 tube stations, raising £13,500 - a 517% increase from 2024
  • 323 industry colleagues joined our lunch and learn webinar to learn more about dementia and it's impact - up 209% from 2024
  • 44 board donations equating to £171,931

Insurance United Against Dementia demonstrates the extraordinary impact the insurance industry can have when we unite behind a shared purpose. This year, the response has been exceptional, and the figures are more than numbers; they represent hope, progress, and the power of collaboration.
