‘It was just a relief to talk to someone who understood what we were going through’.
- Adrian, from Lancashire
We can offer you the option to receive regular calls from us so we can keep in touch, to find out how you are and offer advice and support when things change. As this part of the service is new, it may not be available in your area just yet.
- Please note, the opening times mentioned above are our usual working hours. Very occasionally the support line may have to close during these times. If you need support urgently, please call one of these organisations.
- Support line calls may be recorded or monitored to help with training and evaluation and improve our services. Alzheimer’s Society complies with the General Data Protection Regulations.
- If you have speech or hearing difficulties and have a textphone or an adapted computer, you can use Text Relay to call our Dementia Connect support line on 18001 0300 222 1122.
Other types of support
As well as phone support, we also offer information and advice online and face to face.
Online support is available round the clock through our website. Answer a few simple questions about yourself, or someone you know, to get personalised, relevant information and advice.
If you need further support, you can request a call from our dementia advisers, who should be in touch with you within a week. Our online support includes Talking Point, our online community where you can connect with others in a similar situation, and our dementia directory where you can search for local services.
Face to face support
Our local dementia advisers can meet you to offer further support, advice and information face to face, from someone who understands what you’re going through.
They will also connect you to other face to face services in your area, including local support groups.
Please note: As national restrictions ease we are planning a gradual return of some face-to-face and group services over the coming weeks as well as continuing to run new versions of some services.
