British Airways

A sector leading partnership committed to improving travel experiences.

About our partnership with British Airways

Alzheimer’s Society and British Airways are proud to have extended our strategic partnership through to 2028, building on a collaboration that has been delivering meaningful change for people affected by dementia since 2023.

Over the past three years, British Airways colleagues and customers have raised more than £500,000 through Avios donations, onboard collections, and staff‑led fundraising. Together, we now have an ambition to raise over £1 million, helping fund vital dementia support and services across the UK.

The flagship partnership has significantly expanded Alzheimer’s Society’s reach across British Airways staff and customers beyond just fundraising. Through onboard and internal communications, British Airways has shared our message with millions of people worldwide, increasing awareness and understanding of dementia at scale.

Dementia training for British Airways staff

One of our partnership highlights is our co-created dementia training programme, equipping British Airways colleagues to better support customers living with dementia. This industry leading programme is helping to create more inclusive travel experiences for British Airways customers.

As the partnership evolves, there will be an increased focus on supporting British Airways colleagues and customers who are caring for loved ones living with dementia.

Together, Alzheimer’s Society and British Airways are working together to create a better future for people affected by dementia.

Dementia affects us all. Our colleagues and customers care deeply about this cause. That’s why at British Airways, Alzheimer's Society is a British Airways Better World Community Fund principal partner and consistently one of the top performing charities for colleague and customer donations.

- Gen Herga, Head of Communities at British Airways
