Now is the time to think differently about dementia
The Government’s new Modern Service Framework for Dementia and Frailty is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to change the future of dementia for good.
It's time for a bold and ambitious plan for dementia
Dementia is the biggest health and social care challenge of our time. No other condition involves so many parts of system. We have seen significant developments in science, and pioneering research meaning we can diagnose and treat people more effectively, and we can improve people’s lives. But the system is failing people living with dementia, and it simply is not right.
But right now, there is hope.
Hope for a future where dementia no longer devastates lives. A future where people can live for longer and keep doing the things they love. A future where fewer people die from dementia.
The Government’s new plan – the Modern Service Framework for Dementia and Frailty – must deliver just this. The plan must be bold and ambitious to reduce the devastation caused by dementia.
We have an opportunity to create real change for the 1 million people across the UK living with dementia, and for the countless families impacted.
