Venner Road Hall Dementia Cafe

This friendly group has lots of activities each week. Activities include hand massages, chair yoga, personal trainer exercises, dancing and singing along to the music, crafts, dementia friendly games, word searches, quizzes, bingo and lots of friendly chatting. We are very grateful to have sessions with a local group called Tappy Toes who bring an intergenerational fun session for adults and children. The garden is blooming right now and we now have some raised beds on legs ready for experimental vegetable growing. Anything is possible! The cafe is a good place to come and enjoy some refreshments in a relaxing atmosphere, meet new people also living with dementia and their families and friends and carers, and helps to forge new friendships. It improves wellbeing and prevents isolation for everyone attending.
