The younger person’s peer support service seeks to empower younger people who are affected by dementia to understand their choices so that they can live independently, manage their condition, and remain active within their community with appropriate support including information, advice, signposting and navigation. The service seeks to enable people to have choice and control by benefiting from a wide range of support, from light touch information and advice to one-to-one intensive support, from peer support buddies, who are themselves living with dementia.
