Understanding Dementia Better’ and ‘Mood and Motivation’ are free, online training sessions for family and friends supporting someone with dementia at home. These informal sessions offer you a chance to meet others in a similar situation to you and will help you discover small and simple steps that can make a big difference. For more than a decade, they have worked closely with people with dementia and their families. During their supported holidays, they live with people who have dementia and their friends and family members and are alongside them for 24 hours a day. This gives them a unique opportunity to listen and learn about the challenges they face and the support they really need. These real-life experiences have shaped all of their training, and as a result, can offer positive, practical solutions and ‘real world’ guidance that can apply to all kinds of circumstances.
