The Carers Centre provides an advice, information, assessment, wellbeing, and advocacy service to carers. Areas of assistance could include health and social care; welfare benefits; wellbeing support, peer support groups including dementia, respite breaks and community care services. Carers can self-refer via the website, drop into the centre or phone/email to book an appointment. Carers might be looking after someone with a mental health condition, drug or alcohol misuse and addiction issues, a “dual diagnosis” of a mental health condition and learning difficulties or drug or alcohol misuse and addiction issues, a learning disability, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, physical disabilities, or frailty.


Who is this service for?

  • The carer can live outside Tower Hamlets, but the cared for must be resident in Tower Hamlets.
  • Carers of adults aged 16 and above
