The Dementia Knowledge Centre (DKC) is an information service for professionals and others with an interest in dementia care and evidence-based research into dementia.

Our aim is to improve the quality of life of people with dementia by encouraging learning and best practice. We welcome enquiries from health and social care professionals, researchers, trainers and students.

The DKC online collection includes published information covering medical research, health care, social care, housing, design, therapies, novels, personal accounts and much more.

What the Dementia Knowledge Centre offers:

Enquiry service

A telephone and email service is provided for anyone with a professional interest in dementia-related information. We aim to respond to email and phone enquiries within five working days. To help us deal with your enquiry effectively, please ensure that you include both a telephone number and an email address.

If you are directly affected by Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia you may wish to read an Alzheimer's Society factsheet or contact our National Dementia Helpline.
