How are funds used?

All proceeds raised from the Big Win Weekly Lottery and Super Draw go towards Alzheimer’s Society work supporting people affected by dementia, paying prize winners and investing to grow our lottery programme. You can find more information on what vital work you’re helping to fund on our website

The money spent on Prizes for our Weekly Lottery, Super Draw and Free Prize Draws are taken from their own proceeds. Prizes account for roughly 9% of the total income raised by these activities. Sometimes, material prizes might be kindly donated by Corporate Partners of Alzheimer’s Society, which of course are of no cost to us. In this case, no Prize fund will be deducted from the proceeds.

We occasionally send small free gifts or additional chances to win prizes to some of our supporters as a thank you for their continued support and generous donations. Whilst these only ever cost us a few pence to produce, we do always spend our money wisely to ensure we can increase our work providing valuable support for people living with dementia and their families, as well as campaigning for change and researching for a cure. We do see a good return on investment for the free gifts or free prize incentives that we send out – often increasing our income and increasing the response from our supporters by up to 10%.
