Dementia Directory service provider - privacy notice
How Alzheimer’s Society looks after and uses information submitted by service providers to the Dementia Directory.
Why we need your information
The information you have submitted, including your personal and business information, will be held by Alzheimer’s Society so we can access your information for signposting (which may involve us sharing your public contact details with members of the public/service users) and to contact you about your services or the activities of your organisation.
The information submitted that is marked as mandatory in the Dementia Directory Service Record form is being collected in order to include a record of your service on Alzheimer’s Society’s public-facing Dementia Directory.
This will be published on the Society’s website, those of approved third parties and through search engines - to promote your organisation’s services to a wider audience and help people with dementia, their families and carers find out what is available to them.

All of our people who have access to your personal information are obliged to respect the confidentiality of this information and we deliver training to make sure this happens.
Your information is held in our internal database. The servers for our internal database are held within the European Economic Area. However, where this is the case, we make sure that your rights are protected through engaging in appropriate due diligence and robust contract management.
Keeping your service details up to date
Alzheimer’s Society uses your information under the lawful basis of Legitimate Interest. We will endeavour to keep your service details up to date as part of our annual review process.
