Microvolunteering

Do you want to volunteer but don't have much time? We have five ways to microvolunteer that take no more than five minutes each. Even little actions can make a big impact on the lives of people affected by dementia.

Five ways to microvolunteer for Alzheimer's Society

1. Become a Dementia Friend

Too many people affected by dementia feel that society fails to understand the condition they live with. A Dementia Friend is somebody that learns about dementia so they can help their community.

2. Stand with people affected by dementia

Help us challenge and change the issues faced by people affected by dementia.

Become a campaigner, stay up-to-date with the latest news and support future campaign actions.

3. Increase your understanding of memory loss and dementia

Many things can cause symptoms such as memory loss and becoming forgetful doesn't always mean dementia - but it's always better to know.

Watch our short informational videos on YouTube to increase your understanding of the condition.

Our videos cover a range of subjects, from how to talk to your GP to living well with dementia.

4. Like, comment and share on social media

Social media is a great communication tool. Support us to grow our reach and raise awareness of dementia and the support available with even more people by liking and sharing our posts.

5. Use your networks to raise awareness of dementia support

By 2025, an estimated 1 million people will be living with dementia in the UK, and many millions more carers, partners, families and friends will be affected.

Add a banner to your email signature and let people in your networks know that Alzheimer's Society is here to help.
