Discover all our current opportunities you can get involved in.
If you're someone living with dementia, a carer, or both, you can use your personal experiences to help shape the work we do at Alzheimer's Society. You don't need any specific skills or experience; everyone has something valuable to contribute.
You can get involved as much or as little as you like, and we’re here to support what works for you. We understand that everybody’s availability and capacity varies and can fluctuate, so there is no set time expectation.
Please note that there's no payment for taking part in these opportunities, unless specifically mentioned.

Our monthly bulletin will keep you up to date with Involvement at Alzheimer's Society.
The opportunity
The Planning for Changes toolkit was developed to prompt conversations about future changes and help people come up with a plan about how they can recognise and address these changes before they cause bigger problems.
We have just finished testing the Planning for Changes toolkit in our services and would like to share some early findings with our dementia voice partners and get their feedback on next steps.
Why you should get involved
So far, we involved people living with dementia at each step of the project, and this made a true difference in how we led the project, and we would like to continue this as the project develops.
What you'll be doing
We will meet online over Zoom for about an hour and have an open discussion. We might send some materials for you to review before the discussion.
Where and when is the opportunity?
We are aiming to hold this at the end of May, at a time that is convenient for everyone.

The opportunity
We’ve recently launched a new part of our website to help people find clinical trials and want your help to improve it. We are inviting people to take part in a one hour online session where you will explore the site and share your thoughts on how it works.
Why you should get involved
People affected by dementia are best placed to tell us what works and what does not. Your feedback will help us understand whether the tool is clear, easy to use, and supports people to find and express interest in clinical trials. This will directly shape improvements to the tool and ensure it better meets the needs of people it is designed for.
What you'll be doing
You will take part in an online session where you will share your screen and explore part of our website using a laptop or tablet. We will ask you to talk through what you are thinking as you look for a clinical trial. There are no right or wrong answers, we are interested in your honest experience.
Where and when is the opportunity?
We’re planning sessions to begin the week commencing 18 May and can be flexible to suit your availability. Sessions will take place online via Teams or Zoom.
