Discover all our current opportunities you can get involved in.
If you're someone living with dementia, a carer, or both, you can use your personal experiences to help shape the work we do at Alzheimer's Society. You don't need any specific skills or experience; everyone has something valuable to contribute.
You can get involved as much or as little as you like, and we’re here to support what works for you. We understand that everybody’s availability and capacity varies and can fluctuate, so there is no set time expectation.
Please note that there's no payment for taking part in these opportunities, unless specifically mentioned.

The opportunity
The Fair Pay Agreement consultation will look at whether a new group (the Adult Social Care Negotiating Body) should be given a role in considering training requirements for the care workforce. This could include specialist training for dementia - but we need to tell the government why this is important.
Why you should get involved
Thanks to Alzheimer's Society's campaigning, there is a real chance we could see more social care workers getting dementia training. With only a third of care workers currently having dementia training, now is our chance to make a real difference and show why dementia specific training will improve the lives of people living with dementia and those who care for them.
What you'll be doing
Sharing why you think mandatory dementia training would make such a difference for people living with dementia and those who care for them.
Where and when is the opportunity?
The consultation is online and open until January 2026.
