The challenge

Trek for loved ones and bring help and hope to everyone living with dementia and experience the beauty of the Jurassic Coast.

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, I loved every moment of it. All of the volunteers were full of energy and support, which was exactly what I needed in the final miles! ... Will definitely be back next time.

The route

Starting Location: Wareham

Both routes start and finish at Norden Farm, nestled beside the iconic thousand-year-old Corfe Castle, a National Trust site steeped in history. From the start, walkers head south toward the dramatic coastline, joining the South West Coast Path. The routes divide at Winspit Quarry, with each offering stunning cliffside views along this famous trail.

The 13 mile route continues along the coast, taking in the rugged beauty of St Aldhelm’s Head, the dramatic coastal steps, and the breath-taking vista over Chapman’s Pool. The final stretch leads walkers through the scenic expanse of Corfe Common before returning to Norden Farm.

The 26 mile route ventures further along the coastline, passing the natural limestone platform of Dancing Ledge, the wildlife-rich landscapes of Durlston Country Park, and the iconic chalk formations of Old Harry Rocks. From there, walkers arrive at the seaside town of Swanage before heading inland along the Purbeck Way, with a final sweeping view of Corfe Castle marking the approach back to the finish.
