The Challenge

A great event to walk off the Christmas celebrations, and to kick start your New Year fitness regime! There are Full Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K options, both starting & finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground on Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 January, and take in highlights of the Thames, its historic bridges, and many of the Capital’s key landmarks. Families are welcome, there’s a free winter bobble hat & neck buff, rest stops with snacks, with a special medal and hot food at the finish. Get the ‘Ultra Challenge’ support & hospitality all the way – helping you to push yourself further and achieve something really special! Whether it’s to enjoy an active day out with friends or colleagues, or to maintain a New Year fitness regime – there’s a London Winter Walk for you! Join as an Individual or as a team, and raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society along the way. 42km loop heads East along the Thames to a Rest Stop at Rotherhithe, West along the Thames taking in some of its historic bridges to a Rest Stop in Parsons Green – before heading back to The Oval finish line

21km route heads East, south of the River Thames past Westminster, the London Eye & many iconic sights of the city, before a half way stop at Rotherhithe. Then looping north of the river, back towards The Oval.

10km route heads along the Thames through the heart of the Capital

Fundraising

You only need to raise half of the fundraising target 3 weeks ahead of the Winter Walk to confirm your place - you can then top up the rest during, and after, the challenge!

Charity sponsorship - pay a small registration fee and do lots of fundraising! Remember you only need to raise half of the fundraising target to confirm your place on the challenge. The Reg Fees below are 50% OFF standard fees – as you’ll be fundraising for an official SERIES CHARITY PARTNER 

Marathon - £30 reg fee + £300 in fundraising

Half Marathon - £20 reg fee + £225 in fundraising

10KM - £10 reg fee + £150 in fundraising

Mixed Funding - pay a higher contribution to the cost of your place and fundraise less.

Marathon - £50 reg fee + £150 in fundraising

Half Marathon - £40 reg fee + £120 in fundraising

10km - £25 reg fee + £75 in fundraising
