The challenge
The Arla Great North Swim is the largest open water swimming event in the UK. Held in the stunning surroundings of Lake Windermere, England's largest lake at 10.5 miles long (17km), stretching from Ambleside in the North to Newby Bridge in the South.
It will be a fantastic weekend of open water swimming in the beautiful Lake District. With distances to suit all levels and abilities including:
- ½ mile
- 1 mile
- 2 miles
- 5K
- 10K.
The popular event village is complete with exhibitor stands, pop-up food stalls and activities & games for all ages.
Fundraising
You will pay a registration fee of £20.80, then commit to raising a minimum of £300 in sponsorship.
Yes of course, we have 1 mile places available through us but you can sign up via the organisers website. Once you have your place you can use the own place button on here to let us know you want to fundraise for us. You will still get all the same support from us.
After you have registered and closer to the event date, you will receive an email asking you to register with the event organisers using a token. You must do this to take part and it is at this point you will get to choose your time and date.
