The challenge

Our Big Beach Challenge is the ultimate day out by the sea. Take part in our sand-based obstacle course for laughs, teamwork and unforgettable moments – all while raising money to give help and hope to people living with dementia.

Take part solo or grab family and friends to form a team. Once you’ve scrambled your way to the finish, stick around for a proper seaside day out – deck chairs, ice creams, beach games and entertainment for all ages.

What to wear to the Big Beach Challenge

The Big Beach Challenge features a lot of wet and muddy obstacles so only wear clothing you are happy to get mess and bring a spare change of clothing for after you’ve completed the course.

We suggest wearing light, comfortable clothing that you can move freely in, as well as closed toe trainers. Please also wear your race number, which you’ll also receive in the post.

We encourage you to wear your Alzheimer’s Society t-shirt as well. You’ll receive this in the post if you’ve hit your fundraising targe.

As this event is taking place in June, check the weather on the day and dressing appropriately.

Do not wear:

  • Studded, spiked or steel toed footwear
  • Anything you do not want to get wet or muddy
  • Any valuables, including jewellery, that you don’t want to lose or get damaged
