Our research will change lives 

When Frances recognised she was becoming forgetful, and losing track of things, she visited the GP to get an answer: “When I first heard the diagnosis of mixed dementia, I was worried,” Frances said. “My father, who had Alzheimer’s disease, ended up in a psychiatric hospital.”

But Frances had hope. She reasoned that times had changed, and knows that every day, innovative research is helping us to better understand, treat and even beat dementia. That’s why she’s sharing her support for Alzheimer’s Society today. “I am interested in the inheritance of this disease and how research might help to predict or stall it,” she tells us. “For the sake of my children, and grandchildren, I want to support research.”
