The Big Dip
The Big Dip
Make a splash. Make it matter.
How much would your friends sponsor you to take a freezing dip in the sea or lake during Winter? Sign up to the Big Dip and raise money to power dementia research so that we can find a cure. We can’t do it alone, but together we can beat it.
Whether it's in your local lake or you brave the sea - pick your location and take the plunge during the Winter months! Every pound you raise will help us support more people affected by dementia.

How can I fundraise?
Our handy pack and online fundraising hub contain all kinds of tips and advice for fundraising. There are a whole host of ideas, from cake sales to quizzes. Setting up a JustGiving page is easy and if you share it with friends and family on social media they can see your achievements.
How do I contact you?
How your money helps
Your swim could have a life-changing impact for people affected by dementia:
£5 could pay for 200 dementia helpcards, which can be used to get help or assistance and let people know who to contact if needed.
£100 covers Alzheimer's Society's cost of supporting one patient with early stage Alzheimer's for three months on one of our vital trials.
£208 would fund one of our Side by Side services for a day. This one-to-one volunteer programme empowers people with dementia to keep on doing the things they enjoy.
