Who are we?

We are a small group with big ambitions and we hope to do the following:

  • Bring the lived experience as experts with our personal knowledge of dementia that people value whether in a professional or non-professional capacity. Our aim is to become the ‘go to’ group within the three nations of England, Northern Ireland and Wales for anyone seeking input from people with dementia.
  • Continue to contribute to society, to give value, advice and information where required and requested.
  • Help each other through mutual support, friendship and understanding.
  • Help all those affected by dementia. We understand what you are dealing with.
  • Help those who are trying to help us, such as policy makers, service providers, academics, researchers, businesses.

Hear from members of 3NDWG

The 3NDWG are hosting monthly webinars, designed and delivered by people living with dementia.

Tuesday 15 July 2025, 11am - 12pm: What it means to be part of the 3 Nations Dementia Working Group

Being a member of the 3 Nations Dementia Working Group offers a powerful sense of purpose and community for people living with dementia across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The group is led by individuals with lived experience, which means members are not just participants — they are leaders, advocates, and changemakers.

This creates a unique space where voices are not only heard but actively sought out by policymakers, researchers, and service providers who want to understand what truly matters to those living with dementia.

Carers Support (pre and post diagnosis)

Our last webinar covered a very important aspect of dementia that is often overlooked. The group were joined by guest speaker Trevor Salomon, who shared his own experiences of caring for his wife. We also welcomed Dementia UK Admiral Nurse, Elizabeth Sullivan, who talked about her role and ways in which dementia specialist Admiral Nurses can offer support to carers. This along with personal experience from 3NDWG members made for a very interesting and thought-provoking session.
