Alzheimer’s Society, Innovate UK and the Medical Research Council (MRC) today announced a partnership to launch a new multi-million pound Longitude Prize on Dementia.

In memory of an incredible fundraiser, a classic sports car is on show, driven around the country with one final stop, the Goodwood Revival Bonhams Auction, in the hopes of raising money to help those living with dementia.

The Football Association (FA) hosted an inaugural mixed six-a-side tournament in Battersea, with teams from the Premier League, English Football League Trust, DCMS, Football Foundation and London FA, raising funds to help support those affected by dementia.

Our survey, conducted as part of Dementia Action Week, reveals evidence showing that 91% of people affected by dementia saw clear benefits to getting a diagnosis, with many living with dementia wishing they had received a diagnosis earlier.  

The England men’s team took to the pitch today (SAT) in nameless shirts at the first ever Alzheimer’s Society International match to raise awareness of dementia.

Alzheimer’s Society is saddened to hear of the death of one of their Vice Presidents and founder member of the charity, Dr Anne Hunter OBE.
