We have set up PALZ UK. www. palzuk.org.uk previously referred to as Professionals with Alzheimers but now, People with Alzheimers or dementia from other causes, for bright people like Ian and Jane where we focus on ‘who you are and not what you have.’ We have talks by high quality speakers in a work type environment. One feedback from a supporter of one of the participants was “Just because you’re losing your memory doesn’t mean you’ve lost your brain.”. The Shropshire group is such a success and we plan a new group in Warrington, Cheshire and Billericay in Essex. I tried very hard to get a group set up in Bristol with no success.
