National Dementia Helpline

Looking for information, support or advice about dementia? Our helpline is here for you on 0300 222 11 22.

'We are so lucky to be able to talk to people like you,
giving clear answers in a very kind and gentle manner.'

Maureen, a carer who called our Helpline

  • All calls are confidential. Calls to the Helpline cost no more than the national call rate. They count towards any inclusive minutes in a phone contract. This applies to mobiles, BT or other fixed lines or payphones.

  • Let us know when you call if English is not your first language as we can provide confidential interpreters in many languages.

  • If you have speech or hearing difficulties and have a textphone or an adapted computer, you can use Text Relay  to call our Helpline on 18001 0300 222 1122.

Please note, these are our usual working hours. Very occasionally the Helpline may have to close during these times. If you need support urgently, please call one of these organisations. Helpline calls may be recorded or monitored to help with training and evaluation and improve our services. Alzheimer’s Society complies with the Data Protection Act (1998).

  • Alzheimer's Society is supporting Join dementia research, an initiative to help anyone interested in dementia research to be matched to studies. Call the Helpline to find out more or for help with registration.
