Provides family carers with an opportunity to meet other carers in similar situations to share their experiences,concerns in an understanding and confidential setting. Carer support groups meet on a regular basis. - Coleraine Carer support groups
Provides family carers with an opportunity to meet other carers in similar situations to share their experiences,concerns in an understanding and confidential setting. Carer support groups meet on a regular basis. - Carer Information Programme
These are run periodically providing family carers, friends and relatives with the opportunity to develop their knowledge about the illness and the caring role. Topics covered include nature and effects of dementia, communication strategies, legal and financial matters,and availability of services in the locality. - Causeway Activity Group
Activity groups run on a regular basis in an informal setting where carers, people with dementia and family members or friends come to meet others, socialise and have fun - Dementia Support Visits
Visit to the home and beyond to provide information, sign posting of services, support to people with dementia and their carers - Moyle Carer support group
Provides family carers with an opportunity to meet other carers in similar situations to share their experiences,concerns in an understanding and confidential setting. Carer support groups meet on a regular basis. - Outings and Day Trips
Once a year carers join together for a weekend break away from their caring role. We also have a couple of day trips a year. At Christmas carers join together for a Christmas meal and a social evening - Support group for young people with Dementia and their carers
