Singing for the Brain is a form of music therapy for people living with dementia. It offers a sensory experience and includes activities of repetition which help build in the memory for song and music. Held every Monday at the High Street Baptist Church, Merthyr Tydfil from 11.00am-12:00 (refreshments are available from 10:30). Hidden in the fun of singing are activities which build on the well known preserved memory within the brain, even when memories are hard to retrieve, music is especially easy to recall. - Wednesday Walkers in Merthyr Tydfil
This group has been set up for people living with dementia and their carers to make new friends and enjoy lovely local scenery. The routes selected are shorter walks over flat/gently sloping trails in and around the Cwm Taf area.
