- Befriending Scheme - North Somerset
Volunteer befrienders make home visits on a regular basis to provide friendship and stimulation or they may take people on visits locally. Visits are arranged at a mutually convenient time on an appointment basis. - Carer and Relatives Support/Social Groups - North Somerset
Regular meetings for carers in a range of different locations. Carers may not necessarily live with the person with dementia. Attendees receive emotional support and information. Meetings are usually held in the evenings. Times vary depending on location. Please contact the Worle office for further information. - Carer Support and Information - North Somerset
Home visits on an ongoing basis to provide a wide range of information, support and a listening ear. Visits are carried out during regular working hours by appointment. - Forget-me-Not - North Somerset
Forget-me-not is a one to one session bookable at local GP practices with a staff member. It is primarily aimed at people who are worried about their memory or that of a relative or friend. The service is held monthly or bimonthly in various surgeries. Information can be obtained from the Worle office. - Memory Cafe - Sandford
The fortnightly cafe is a meeting place for people with dementia and carers to enjoy the company of others in a friendly, informal environment where useful information is also available. - Memory Cafe with music and dance - Tickenham
A social event with dancing, followed by a light tea. Information and support available from the staff member. Held on alternate Wednesday afternoons. Transport is not provided. - Singing for the Brain - Clevedon
Singing for the Brain group. Led by a trained facilitator enabling people to sing and have fun. The service runs every Tuesday. - Singing for the Brain - Weston-super-Mare
