Services offered

  • Dementia Support Services
    Dementia support services provides support to people with dementia and their carers to help maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. They also assist people with dementia and their carers to identify their needs and to access appropriate services. This service can be provided through one to one support, home visits etc as needed.
  • Hazelmeir Day Centre
    The day support service provides personalised care and support in a safe environment. People with dementia have the opportunity to take part in meaningful activities and will be supported to decide how they spend their time, and be encouraged to maintain their independence where appropriate. Support will be available with both health and personal care needs.
  • Home Support Service
    This is a one to one support service for people with dementia who are living in their own homes. Home Support staff visit the home providing meaningful companionship, stimulation and individual care for the person with dementia. This can also include trips out, walks and visits to local places of interest as required. This service also enables carers to have a short regular respite breaks.
  • Hospital Befriender
    Hospital Befriending is a new service on Combe Ward in the Bath Royal United Hospital, where volunteer befrienders meet patients who have dementia. Our volunteer befrienders are friendly and supportive. Time is spent talking with the patients and a range of different activities are available, such as jigsaw puzzles and playing cards.
  • Pinelea Day Centre

  • Singing for the brain - (Bath)
    This is a structured group session for people with dementia and their carers based on music therapy and singing. The group is led by a trained facilitator who in each session will offer all the opportunity to socialise, receive and give peer support and engage and actively participate in singing in a supportive atmosphere.
