- Alzheimer Cafe - Minchinhampton
Cafés are open to anyone worried about their memory, worried about someone elses memory or affected by dementia. The Cafés provide practical information and support, as well as the opportunity for people with dementia, their families and carers to ask questions and to listen to others experiences. They also provide an informal and social environment in which to learn new skills, undertake meaningful activities and listen to guest speakers. - Alzheimer Cafe - Nailsworth

This is a structured regular support group for people with dementia and their carers with an emphasis on artistic and creative activities. The group is a the place to share concerns, experiences and coping mechanisms, as well as a place to make friends. Our Dementia Support Service provides support to people with dementia and their carers to help them to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and take more control of their lives. They also assist people with dementia and their carers to identify their needs and to access appropriate services. This service can be provided through one to one support, home visits and over the telephone. This is a one to one support service for people with dementia who are living in their own homes. Home Support staff visit the home providing meaningful companionship, stimulation and individual care for the person with dementia.
