Services offered

  • Alzheimer's Cafe Rugby
    The Alzheimer's Cafe is an educational and social event. It follows an 11 month rolling programme. The cafe has a different theme each meeting. It generally follows the chronological course of the illness. It provides information, emotional support, social support, informal consultations, encourages peer support and the opportunity to meet with professionals in a social setting. Refreshments are available.
  • Community Support Stratford District
    The community support service is for people who are in the early stages of dementia and want to and are able to continue with their usual social activities. A trained Leisure and wellbeing worker will visit the home and will encourage, motivate and be companionship to the person with dementia. They have the option to stay at home or go out visiting places of interest, friends or just a drive out. Personal care is not provided in this service.
  • Community Support Warwick district
    The Community Support service is for people who are in the early stages of dementia and want to and are able to continue with their usual social activities. A trained Leisure and Wellbeing worker will visit the home and will encourage, motivate and be companionship to the person with dementia. They have the option to stay at home or go out visiting places of interest, friends or just a drive out. Personal care is not provided in this service.
  • Dell Court
    The day care service provides a stimulating and social environment for people with early to mid stages of dementia. The carers can benefit from 5 hours respite. A freshly cooked meal at lunch time, occassional outings and activities are provided. There is also the option of a pick up and drop off service for people with out transport.
  • Dementia Adviser North Warwickshire
    The dementia adviser post provides a highly responsive, individualised information and sign posting services to primarily people with a diagnosis of dementia. They will be based both within a memory clinic setting and in the community. They are available to visit people on a 121 basis and will continue to build links and signpost as and when needed.

It provides information, emotional support, social support, informal consultations, encourages peer support and the opportunity to meet with professionals in a social setting. Refreshments are available.
  • Dementia Resource Cafe - Shipston
    The dementia resource cafe is a place where people with dementia and their carers/ relatives can come together to gain information and peer support. Occassional talks as and when required by professionals, the Society Information Officer available and volunteers. Run in a cafe style environment giving not only information and peer support but also a social network.
  • Information service Rugby
    The information service is only currently available by contacting the branch via phone or email for Rugby. The Information officer can signpost to other services in the area and will be available to meet and speak with at the Rugby Alzheimer Cafe. A resource room is also available by appointment only in Leamington Spa. Anyone who has an interest in dementia is welcome.
  • Information service Stratford
    The information service incorporates a number of services. An Information Officer is available to raise awareness and reach people who could benefit from our knowledge. The information officer builds links with families, care homes, agencies, professional bodies to give talks, advice on symptons, coping strategies and general guidance. A resource room is also available by appointment only. Anyone who has an interest in dementia is welcome.
  • Information service warwick
    The information service incorporates a number of services. An Information Officer is available to raise awareness and reach people who could benefit from our knowledge.   • James Court
    The day care service provides a stimulating and social environment for people with dementia. It enables carers to take 5hrs respite. A pick up service is available. The day care also provides a freshly cooked meal at lunch time, occassional outings and a variety of activities.
  • Kenilworth Carers Group
    Kenilworth Carers group provides social interaction with others in the same situation and also advice and support. Speakers have often been invited to give advice on current topics. Carers also have the opportunity to discuss their feelings and needs and to gain emotional support and advice. Refreshments are served.
  • Kenilworth dementia peer support group
    This group provides support for people living with dementia to come together as a group and gain peer support and information. It is used as an informal assessement period into our Community Support/ Out and about service. It is provided in a cafe style environment and runs the same time as the Kenilworth Carers group - therefore giving the ability for people with dementia and their carers to attend same venue at the same time.
  • Out and About Group
    It is aimed at people with dementia who are active people and keen to get out and visit places and have social interaction. This service is also available for people who do not wish to access day care or other community support services.
  • Pub Lunch
    The pub lunch provides a social ocassion for people with dementia and carers to come together and enjoy a meal out in good company. The venues and bookings are organised by the branch but each individual will fund their own meal. There are a number of volunteers attend the lunch.
  • Rugby Carers Group
    Rugby Carers group provides social interaction with others in the same situation and also advice and support. Carers have the opportunity to discuss their feelings and needs and to gain emotional support and advice. Refreshments are served.
  • Training
    The branch has two qualified trainers who provide training for proffessionals working in the area of dementia care and can also provide carers education - subject to funding
