- Carers Support Group,3rd Tuesday
Support group for carers, open discussion and information facilitated by a Dementia Support Worker. Support provided for people with dementia whilst carers attend group. - CrISP
The Carer Information and Support Programme or CrISP course lead by the Carers' Information Programme Development Manager providing effective support and up to date, relevant and evidence based information in a group environment. - Dementia Cafe (Dairy Court)
A twice monthly cafe for people with dementia, their carers, friends and family to relax, to meet new people and share experiences with those in a similar situation. Everyone welcome. - Dementia Cafe (Spitfire)
A place for people with dementia and carers to go to relax together, to meet other people and to learn more about dementia and about the services available. - Home Support Service
This is an enabling service offering social support and care through activities and stimulation at home. The Home Support Service is registered with CQC and we are able to provide personal care and assistance with medication. - Outreach Service
Our trained staff are available to offer information and support to people affected by dementia and their carers. We will help you to identify any support needs and can help you better understand what a diagnosis of dementia means to you and your family and to plan for the future. We can advise you of services available in your area, putting you more in control of your life. We can come to your home or an alternative venue or talk on the phone, whichever way you prefer. - Peer Support 2nd & 4th Tuesdays
A support group for people recently diagnosed with dementia to share practical and emotional support. - Peer Support Groups, thursdays
Peer Support activity group held at 1 Dairy Court every Thursday 10-2pm - Short Term Intensive Support Service (STISS)
This is a free home support service for 4-6 weeks to prevent carer breakdown, prevent hospital admission or enable early discharge from hospital. We are registered with CQC and we are able to provide personal care and assistance with medication.
