- Dementia and Carer Support-Welwyn & Hatfield
Providing support to carers of people with dementia. Our Dementia Support Workers can talk to you on the telephone or can visit you at home to offer support and information, or you can make an appointment to visit the office. - Information Service -Welwyn & Hatfield
Provision of information to people with dementia, their carers and professionals, via telephone, meetings, post and email. - Outings & Trips-Welwyn & Hatfield
Various trips and outings arranged throughout the year, organised by the Society. Our outings and events complement our established support services, helping to provide social support/interaction, and share experiences. Please contact our office for further details of our outings trips and events. - Potters Bar Dementia Cafe
An opportunity for people with dementia, families and carers to enjoy activities together, and also opportunities to learn more about living with dementia. Held every Saturday at The Wyllotts Centre, Potters Bar EN6 2HN between 10.30 am and 3.30 pm. - Singing For The Brain - Potters Bar
A relaxed and friendly group activity which brings the joy and stimulation of singing to those with the memory problems associated with dementia. Through song and gentle movements. These sessions are 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, and are included within our Potters Bar Drop In Service on specific days. Please contact us for more details. - Singing For The Brain - Welwyn Garden City

If you are caring for someone with dementia, come and join our friendly and informal meetings. For people living with dementia, their carers and families. Support groups are a valuable opportunity for people facing similar challenges to share their experiences and support each other. Opportunities to talk with healthcare professionals and listen to visiting speakers. Held at the St Johns Church Hall, Baker Street, Potters Bar EN6 2DZ on the last Thursday of the month from 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm. - Support Group-Welwyn Hatfield Evening
Support group evening for people with dementia, their carers and family, former carers and any other interested people, held in Hatfield, Friendship House. This is held every second Wednesday of the month between 7.00 pm and 9.00 pm. - Welwyn Garden City Dementia Cafe
Welwyn Dementia Cafe provides an informal meeting place for people with dementia and their carers to come together where they can meet in a similar situation and receive information and support from staff and visiting professionals. Guest speakers will attend and education information is available. Held at St Francis of Assisi Church Hall, Church Rd,Welwyn Garden City on the Third Tuesday of the month between 10 am and 12 noon. - Young Onset Dementia Activity Group - Central Herts/Welwyn Hatfield
These groups recognise that the interests of younger, more physically active people with dementia are generally different to those of older people. There will be the opportunity to engage in activities in an informal environment. The programme of activities will be agreed by group members. The groups will be most suitable for those in the early stages of their dementia. - Young Onset Dementia Support Group - Central Herts/Welwyn Hatfield
These groups will provide a valuable opportunity for carers and people with dementia to meet others who face similar challenges to share their experiences and support each other in an informal environment.
