Our Dementia Support Worker can visit you at home to offer support and information, or you can make an appointment to see her in the office. - Drop-In -Information Service - St Albans
A Drop-In service to provide information and support. Find out what help is available and how to access it. Held every weekday morning between 10.00 am and 12 noon at the St Albans office. - EMDASS St Albans & Dacorum - Support & Activity Group
The facilitation of group sessions for people with dementia and their family, friends and carers to discuss the diagnosis of dementia and its consequences in an informal environment in the presence of, and supported by peers. Information sharing around key areas of concern, experienced symptoms, coping mechanisms and the prevention of social isolation. - Information Service - St Albans
Provision of information to people with dementia, their carers and professionals, via telephone, meetings, post, email and in person. - Outings and Trips-St Albans
Various trips and outings arranged throughout the year, organised by the Society. Our outings and events complement our established support services, helping to provide social support/interaction and sharing of experiences. A relaxed and friendly group activity which brings the joy and stimulation of singing to those with the memory problems associated with dementia. Through song and gentle movements. - St Albans Dementia Cafe
St Albans Dementia Cafe is a place for people with dementia and their carers to come and socialise, listen to presentations and join in activities. Held at the Homewood Road United Reform Church, Homewood Road, St Albans AL1 4BH on the second Monday of the month between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon. - Support Group - St Albans Carers
If you are caring for someone with dementia, come and join our friendly and informal meetings. For people living with dementia, their carers and families. Support groups are a valuable opportunity for people facing similar challenges, to share their experiences and support each other. The group is held the third Thursday of the month at our St Albans office between 2pm and 3.30pm. - Support Group -Chiswell Green Carers
A support group for women caring for someone with dementia. We meet for coffee and a friendly chat. Held the last Wednesday of the month meeting at 11am, finish times vary. Please contact the service office for more information. - Support Group -Redbourn Carers
