  • Dementia and Carer Support Workers - N Herts & Stevenage
    Our Dementia Support Workers can visit you at home to offer emotional and practical support. Information can be given on all aspects of dementia care including diagnosis, services available and benefits.
  • EMDASS NORTH HERTS - Dementia Support
    Full Dementia Support Worker Service
  • EMDASS North Herts - Support & Activity Group
    The facilitation of group sessions for people with dementia and their family, friends and carers to discuss the diagnosis of dementia and its consequences in an informal environment in the presence of, and supported by peers. Information sharing around key areas of concern, experienced symptoms, coping mechanisms and the prevention of social isolation.
  • Information Service- N Herts & Stevenage
    Office based information service for anyone with any concern about dementia by providing a mix of information packs, leaflets and other publications. Access to other services including a dedicated Dementia Support Worker is available.
  • Outings and Trips - N Herts & Stevenage
    Various trips and outings arranged throughout the year, organised by the Society. Our outings and events complement our established support services, helping to provide social support/interaction, and share experiences. Please contact the service office for individual timings of trips and outings.
  • Royston Dementia Cafe
    Royston Dementia Cafe is open to people with dementia and carers to come and socialise, listen to presentations and join in with activities. The Cafe is held at Coombs Community Centre, Burns Road, Royston SG8 5PT on the first Wednesday of the month between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon.
  • Singing For The Brain - Letchworth
    A relaxed and friendly group activity which brings the joy and stimulation of singing to those with the memory problems associated with dementia. Through song and gentle movements. Please contact the service office for further information.
  • Singing For The Brain - Stevenage
    A relaxed and friendly group activity which brings the joy and stimulation of singing to those with the memory problems associated with dementia. Through song and gentle movements.
  • Stevenage Dementia Cafe
    Stevenage Dementia Cafe is open to people with dementia and carers to come and socialise, listen to presentations and join in with activities. The Cafe is held at Stevenage Arts Centre,Roaring Meg Retail Park, Stevenage SG1 1XN on the third Wednesday of the month between 10.30 am and 12.30pm.
  • Support Group - Hitchin Carers
    Our support groups are a valuable opportunity for people facing similar challenges, to share their experiences and support each other. Held the second Tuesday of the month between 11.30 and 1.30. Please contact the service office for further details.
  • Support Group - Stevenage Carers
    Peer support group facilitated by a Dementia Support Worker, for carers of people with dementia. Held on the last Wednesday of the month (except December) from 10.00 am to 12 noon at the Ibis Hotel, Coffee Shop, in the centre of Stevenage New Town opposite Tesco's. Coffee/Tea provided.
  • Young Onset Dementia Activity Group - North Herts
    These groups recognise that the interests of younger, more physically active people with dementia are generally different to those of older people. There will be the opportunity to engage in activities in an informal environment. The programme of activities will be agreed by group members. The groups will be most suitable for those in the early stages of their dementia.
  • Young Onset Dementia Support Group - North Herts
    These groups will provide a valuable opportunity for carers and people with dementia to meet others who face similar challenges to share their experiences and support each other in an informal environment.
