Services offered

  • Care Circle, Kings Centre - Gt Yarmouth
    Facilitated group providing a forum for members to talk about their experience of dementia, share information and give and receive support. Relaxing space for people with dementia and carers to attend together. Option to join in indoor physical games, tabletop games, puzzles etc. Opportunity for formal information sharing/activity in workshop. Supported by volunteers and dementia support workers. Carers also have the opportunity to join in with another group, offering mutual support, and run alongside the Care Circle by the Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Trust. Sessions for both are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm at the Kings Centre, Southtown, Great Yarmouth.
  • Carers Support Group - Gt Yarmouth
    Facilitated group providing a forum for members to talk about their experience of dementia, share information and give and receive support. Working in partnership with the Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Trust the Great Yarmouth service offers a support group for those caring for someone with a dementia. This group is run along side the Care Circle enabling carers to access both groups. Sessions are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm at the Kings Centre, Great Yarmouth.
  • CrISP Information Program - Gt Yarmouth
    The Carer Information and Support Programme or CrISP course, led by the Carers' Information Programme Development Manager, providing effective support and up to date, relevant and evidence based information in a group environment.
  • Dementia Adviser - Great Yarmouth
    A dedicated adviser providing accessible, relevant, quality information to people with dementia, on an ongoing basis, including signposting to relevant services.
  • Dementia Cafe - Acle
    Café style supported social get-togethers, providing a combination of information, knowledge and support within a structured and understanding environment
  • Dementia Cafe - Loddon
    Café style supported social get-togethers, providing a combination of information, knowledge and support within a structured and understanding environment.
  • Dementia Support - Great Yarmouth
    One-to-one support, information and guidance by phone, email or face-to-face for people with dementia and/or their carers (at home or in another accessible location).
  • Information Provision - Great Yarmouth
    Providing information for anyone with any concern about dementia by providing a mix of information packs, leaflets and other publications, telephone information, loan libraries and meetings. Members of the public may contact the office via telephone, email, letter or you can visit the office.
  • Music Makers - Great Yarmouth
    Facilitated group providing a forum for members to talk about their experience of dementia, share information and give and receive support. Listen, sing, dance or just watch. Experience different types of music throughout the year. An opportunity to have fun and share, in a relaxed environment. Carers also have the opportunity to join in with another group, offering mutual support, and run alongside Music Makers by the Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Trust. We meet in the Kings Centre on the 4th Thursday of the month 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm.
