Services offered

  • Befriending Scheme
    Provides friendship and support to carers whose loved ones have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia and who are feeling lonely and isolated. Provides home visits or telephone contact. Referrals for befriending are usually made by the Dementia Support Worker after discussion with the carer.
  • Braintree Social Group
    Social group held in the Great Notely area. Meets on the first Thursday each month between 2 pm and 4.30 pm. Please contact the office for more details.
  • Braintree Social Group (Pub Lunch)
    Pub Lunch group meets on the second Monday of each month in the Cressing area. Please contact the office for more details.
  • Braintree YOD Coffee Club
    Informal coffee club meeting usually held monthly. Contact the office for more details.
  • Chelmsford Carers Discussion Group
    Group held in the Chelmsford area. Please telephone the office for more information.
  • Chelmsford Singing Group (With One Voice)
    Social group held in the Springfield area. Meets on the third Thursday each month betwen 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm. Please contact the Chelmsford office for more details.
  • Chelmsford Social Group
    Social group held in the Broomfield area. Meets on the first Friday each month betwen 7.30 pm and 9.30 pm. Please contact the office for more details.
  • Chelmsford Social Group (Pub Lunch)
    Pub Lunch group which meets on the third monday of each month in the Chelmsford area. Please contact the office for more details.
  • Chelmsford YOD Coffee Club
    Informal coffee club meeting usually held monthly. Contact the office for more details.
  • Dementia and carer support
    Dedicated staff providing support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families either in their own homes or at another suitable location.
  • Information provision
    A helpline and first point of call, providing a mix of telephone answering service, information packs, leaflets and other publications. Onwards referral to a Dementia Support Worker.
  • Maldon Coffee Club
    Informal coffee club meeting usually held monthly in a volunteer's own home. Contact the office for more details.
  • Maldon Social Group (Pub Lunch)
    Pub Lunch group which meets on the fourth Monday of each month in the Maldon area. Please contact the office for more details.
  • Memory Clinic Support
    Operates 5 days a week at the Redwood Centre in Chelmsford. Advice and information given. Please contact the office for more details.
