Services offered

  • Care Days
    Providing activities and support for people with dementia, giving carers a break. Run in Epping. Please contact the service office for further information.
  • Care to Talk
    Held on second Monday of each month. The Carers group discuss the diagnosis of dementia and its consequences in an informal setting. People with dementia can meet in an adjoining room and participate in reminiscence activities.
  • CrISP information Programme
    5 week information course for carers whose relatives have recently been diagnosed with dementia. The first week is a one hour introductory session to enable people to get to know each other and the facilitator, and the four subsequent weeks offer 3 hour sessions, which will increase the knowledge and skills to help them support their relative or friend with dementia.
  • Dementia support
    Dedicated staff providing support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families either in their own homes or at another suitable location.
  • Dementia support in memory clinics
    Dementia support workers are based within the memory clinics to offer immediate support and information following diagnosis. They will follow up by offering support through home visits, if requested.
  • Helpline Service
    A trained helpline worker is available to discuss any of your concerns about all forms of dementia. We provide information, support and a listening ear.
  • Information provision
    Provides a first point of call by providing a mix of a telephone answering service, information packs, leaflets and publications. Onward referral to a Dementia Support Worker.
  • Leisure and Well Being Service for younger people
    A service which takes place every Friday to provide social contact and activities specially designed for younger people with dementia in mind.
  • Memory Cafe for people with Young Onset Dementia
    The Young Onset Dementia Group is held on the last Tuesday morning of each month between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. Open to people with dementia who are under the age of 65 and their carers. Speakers attend to offer information about issues that are important to people who have been diagnosed with dementia under the age of 65.
  • The Memory Cafe, Loughton
    Dementia Cafe held at The Methodist Church, 260 High Road, Loughton, IG10 1RB between 10 am and 12 noon on 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.
