  • Befriending Scheme
    Befriender spends a couple of hours on a regular basis to help the client maintain existing skills and interests. Out-of-pocket expenses including travel costs reimbursed.
  • Cafe Memoir Leyburn
    Meeting in a social setting with a member of the Dementia Support Team. Light refreshments
  • Cafe Memoir Northallerton
    Meeting in a social setting with Dementia Support Team & information on hand. Light refreshments
  • Cafe Memoir Stokesley
    A social event for people with dementia and their carers with a Dementia Support worker present. Light refreshments.
  • Carers' Information Programme
    A series of four workshops based throughout the district . The workshops are for carers of people with dementia and cover 1 - Understanding Dementia 2- Communication Problems 3 - Benefits & Grants, Recent developments in equipment 4 - Coping day to day.
  • Day Care - Easingwold
    Day centre for people with dementia. Providing stimulating activities in a safe homely environment.

  • Dementia Friendly Alliance Campaign
    A discussion on a wide range of dementia related issues. To help identify gaps in services and give opportunity for exchange of information and experience. Making local services more accessable to people with dementia.
  • Dementia Support for people with dementia & families
    Support given to clients in Richmondshire & Hambleton. Home visits, telephone contact.
  • Information and Advice - Hambleton and Richmondshire
    responding to telephone, e-mails, letters requesting advice and information for carers, people with dementia and professionals
  • Memory Clinic
    Dementia support at the Living Well with Memory Loss Group at the Memory Clinic, Friarage Hospital, Northallerton
  • Outings
    Day trips for people with dementia carers. Days out, Luncheon groups, social gatherings.
  • Peer Support Group - Leyburn
    Group arranges outings and various speakers. Help and advice can be given on a one to one basis if required. A member of the Dementia Support team is present.
  • Peer support group - Stokesley
    Meets at the Town Hall, Market Place, Stokesley. Support Group for people caring for person with dementia. Help and advice can be given on a 1 to 1 basis.

    Social gathering people with dementia and carers coming together to sing and socialise
